In particular, it can help preserve youthful, UV-resistant skin, promote eye health and increase the activity and number of immune system cells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Astaxanthin can help improve the lipid profile as well as other metabolic parameters, protecting the cardiovascular system, as well as contributing to glycaemic control and improving exercise performance, protecting against induced muscle and tissue damage, reducing fatigue and shortening recovery time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another benefit of astaxanthin is its ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, a highly selective barrier that is impermeable to most substances.
